Representatives of the local commissions, inspectors from the Children's Police Service and heads of the Public Support Centers gathered on June 28, 2018 in Pamporovo at the VI National Scientific and Practical Conference "Children's Justice and Children's Rights". The Forum, organized by the municipality of Asenovgrad and partners, gathered over 80 specialists from all over the country working with children. Russe students talked with americans of their age on the rights of young people and the differences in their lifes

On March 17, 2018, students from the English Language School in Rousse talked with American youths from the Nobel and Grenoyt schools in Massachusetts, USA, about the rights of young people and the differences in their lives. After “breaking ice", the participants switched to topics concerning the differences in school rules and structure, the youth's taste for music and entertainment, political views, and the extent to which they were the subject of conversation among young people, the violation of the rules and the consequences thereof. During the discussion, it became clear that, unlike Bulgarian students, their American peers did not even try to smoke near their school. The worry that they will be expelled from the school is related to a conscious sense of failure that directly affects their future. Drugs and child abuse are a common problem that is exciting for young people in both countries. To the question "What happens in the United States if you cheat during an exam?", The American children simply replied: "You just do not cheat." виж още

In January 2017, the Judicial Development Program (JDP) has initiated the implementation of the project "Liability of Legal Entities for the Abuse of EU Funds in Bulgaria: Comparison with Other EU Countries" funded by the European Commission (OLAF) through the Hercules III program. The project examines the case law on the rules on liability of legal persons, as amended at the end of 2015, under the Law on Administrative Offenses and Sanctions, with a special emphasis on liability for fraud of EU funds. The AWAY Children's Advisory Board is an area where children and adolescents can be informed about children's rights and children's justice, as well as understanding what is the deviation from criminal proceedings, to what extent and how it is done in countries that have their representatives in the AWAY project. The Board gathers in Rousse (a district town in the North Bulgaria) and, has the task of giving information of its members on the topic, hearing children and young people's voice on children's rights and justice, as well as encouraging the sharing and reflection on personal experience from meetings with law enforcement institutions that, it turns out, are not unknown for the children. виж още

Project „Alternative Ways to Address Youth (AWAY)”

On 16 January 2017, the PDJS has started implementation of the project „Alternative Ways to Address Youth (AWAY)”, co-funded by the European Union REC Program under project number JUST/2015/RCHJ/AG/PROF/9589. The project has received funding of an amount of 341 455.49 Euro and its closing date is 31 December 2018.

AWAY project aims to raise awareness on diversion, a restorative method in juvenile justice so that children in conflict with the law to benefit from improved access to diversion through multi-disciplinary evidence-based child-friendly practices. виж още
